The upcoming Phase-2 Request for Proposals (RFP) will open on November 15, 2024, and remain available for submissions over the following four months. The initiative involves field pilot testing of advanced enhanced oil recovery technologies such as foam-assisted gas injection using recovered hydrocarbon gases, carbon dioxide, or other gases for revitalization of oil fields as well as mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions by operations in the State.
This opportunity is open to all Operators with at least one active production field within the State who demonstrate the capability to engage in advanced research and development aimed at enhancing oil field productivity and recovery efficiency. Operators previously selected for Phase-1 of the program are also invited to apply for Phase-2 funding. Each eligible Operator may submit up to two distinct project proposals as part of this RFP.
The timeline for this project outlines the key phases and milestones that will guide the development, implementation, and assessment of innovative strategies for gas injection.
